Shindig On The Green Quick Fact Asheville’s Mountain Dance And Folk Festival, Precursor To Shindig On The Green, Is The Nation’s First And Oldest Continuously Running Folk Festival.
Locals and visitors alike come together at downtown’s pack square park “along about sundown,” or at 7:00 pm for those who wear a watch, and continues until 10:00 pm.
